NME awards 2016 proved to be a massive success with outstanding performances from the likes of Cold Play, Foals, Maccabees and many more. We are delighted to confirm that multi award winning Artistic Director/Choreographer Supple Nam was instrumental in helping to put together a performance with NME Awards 2016 “Best New Artist” Jordan Cardy “Ratboy”. After being contacted by Management and Record Label Parlophone/Warner Bros Music, Supple was excited to get involved with this major event.
Supple was given 4 hours to create, develop and rehearse an edgy performance which would help express Ratboy’s amazing talent and demonstrate his Indie Rock/Hip Hop/Alternative music background.
Keeping the energy lively and fun, the band and Supple worked well together to give the performance the right edge to boost and enhanceRatboy’s confidence.
As Supple time came to an end, he left Ratboy and the band to rehearse on their own, they had taken on board all Supple had taught and worked together very well. They nailed their performance and were a huge success at the 2016 NME Awards at Brixton Academy in London.
Ratboy won Best New Artist.
